Winamp
SHOUTcast Radio DSP plug-in
AAC+ plugin
Even thought the following steps are relatively simple, here are some instructions on how to do it

1. Download Winamp
2. Download the SHOUTcast Radio DSP plug-in for Winamp. The DSP plug-in can be downloaded from here

3. Once you downloaded the SHOUTcast Radio DSP plug-in, close Winamp if its already running and double-click the installer file that you downloaded in step 2 , and follow the onscreen instructions to install.

4. Start Winamp and open Preferences (CTRL-P) and go to the DSP/effects subcategory under the Plug-ins tree and click on the Nullsoft Shoutcast Source DSP v1.9.1

Now that we have installed Winamp and the DSP plugin we can start with the configuration

Output

1. Go to the Output tab of your DSP plugin

2. Choose Output 2
3. In the address field paste the IP you got from your CentovaCast Control panel
4. In the Port field paste the port you got from your CentovaCast Control panel
5. In the password field type the source password that you have chosen when you configured your control panel
6. For Encoder choose “2”
7. Enable the Automatic reconnection on Connection failure, and set it to something small like 5-10 seconds
•This determines how long it will take for the plugin to automatically try to reconnect when it gets disconnected from the server, so this should be set to a small value
Yellowpages

•Make this server public
Here you chose if you want or don’t want to be listed on the shoutcast server list
•Description
Here you set the name for your radio
•URL
oHere you can put the url of your radio’s website
•Genre
The genre of music that usually plays on your station
•AIM
If you radio has a AIM account put it here
•ICQ
If your radio has a ICQ account put it here
•IRC
If your radio has IRC put it here
•Enable title updates
This one actually pretty important for your station, it determines if the titles of your currently played songs will be displayed to the listeners, just leave it default (auto)
Encoder
Encoder
You can select any encoder, but you shouldn’t select “Encoder 1” because its notorious for not working
Encoder type
MP3 Encoder
You should select this encoder type if you don’t know what it means (we will explain in a bit)
[indent][indent]
AAC+ Encoder
This is a great encoder because it gives you impressive quality at really low bitrates, how low ?
• CD-quality stereo down to 48 kbps
• Near CD-quality stereo at 32 kbps
• Excellent quality stereo down to 24 kbps
The only problem with this encoder is that many players don’t support it natively, and plugins are necessary so you can listen to the stream, most listeners don’t want to bother with this, so if you can you should stick with mp3
Some players that support AAC+:
•iTunes
•foobar2000
•Winamp
•Windows Media Player 12
Input

The input part is important because it determines what the source of your audio will be streamed

You have two choices here:
•Winamp
•Soundcard Input
The default input device (Winamp) will simply broadcast what you play in winamp, and this is what you will probably stick with most of the time
The second option Soundcard input gives you the choice to use the microphone as a input device, or the line input. If you don’t know what you are doing, just use the microphone option when you want to say something to your listeners, you can use “Push to talk” which is pretty self-explanatory ,while you hold the button your voice will be heard, or use the lock options, which enables you to just click and don’t have to hold a button.

Start broadcasting

Now that you have configured everything its time to start streaming.Go back to your Output tab and click on the “Connect” button, and if you did everything right you are broadcasting.
